There has been a lot of discussion around what consent will mean under GDPR, and whether you will need to get consent from all your church members and other Data Subjects.

It is important to remember that consent is only one of six possible lawful bases for processing data. If you can demonstrate one of the other five, you may not need consent. If you already have consent and can demonstrate that it is still valid under GDPR, you will not need to ask for fresh permission.
